I got your mercy in July 2020, when my life was practically fallen apart. I had no purpose, no compassion and I was just a waste of space. But with your mercy and Bhakti Charu Maharaj’s mercy, I got to associate with lots of devotees and learn Bhakti from ISKCON Ujjain. All this is possible because of your devotees and their association that I got to advance in my spiritual life.

Since last year, I am trying very hard to advance in spirituality. I wished both material success and spiritual success. Now that I have received both service and material opportunities I don’t know how to balance them. I am doing my masters, I get tasks and services both, I don’t know how to keep my cool but with your blessings, I think I will be able to manage better.

I feel overwhelmed sometimes, but I also it is not enough.

Please give me strength Prabhupada ji to take the right and quick actions and spread Krishna Consciousness. You said whatever talent or skills one has they must use it to serve Krishna. I am trying to do that and spread Krishna Bhakti.

Right from the beginning,I was always interested in doing idol worship and celebrating festivals.However ,even after doing all this,I was always having negative thoughts and fear in my heart.I started observing some changes in my husband after he started attending Iskcon classes,so I was also inclined to explore on the same so I started doing chanting, attending Iskcon classes from senior devotees etc . this led to increase in my belief on krishna and also I started seeing changes in my thought process.
I would like to continue chanting more rounds, hearing more lectures, learning Bhagvad Gita slokas along with my son to continue my association.
I sincerely pray for your mercy and blessings so that I can make progress in krishna consciousness

This is our second Vyasa Puja offering. Please forgive us for any offenses we make. We are really blessed to be associated with Iskcon, a Krishna consciousness organization you started to uplift the fallen souls like us and help us in making progress on the real goal of life i.e., “Going back to Godhead”. I have taken baby steps in last one year by
• Increasing my daily Japa count from 1 round to 4 rounds everyday
• Reading the book “The science of Self Realization”
• Going through many videos and attending live sessions from Iskcon senior devotees
• Learnt ~25 Bhagavad Gita Slokas.
I Pray for your and all senior devotees blessings so that I can further progress in my journey. I would like to
• Increase my daily Japa count from 4 rounds to 6 rounds
• Read at least 2 of your books

• Learn another 20-25 Bhagavad Gita slokas
• Continue on my association with Iskcon through Bhakti Vriksha
I know I have many flaws and I need your mercy to overcome them. Please fortify my will to be forever true to your instructions and contribute at least a morsel in spreading your divine legacy to others.

Dear Srila Prabhupada,
Kindly accept my humble obeisances.

I would like to start by sincerely thanking you for all that you have done to guide/help the fallen souls. Without a guru like you and your works, we would have been directionless.

The positive things that have happened to me since my last letter dated August 2020 are,
 Reduction in anxiety levels
 Better balance while handling good & bad news
 A slight increase in the number of rounds chanted
 Continuity in abstaining from non-vegetarian food
As I mentioned earlier, I understand there is a very long way ahead in this journey. Please find below the current status with regard to the commitments that I made in August 2020, I. Read thoroughly at least five of your books
 I think I have achieved this target and I understand clearly that the bar was set very low
 Please forgive me in case you believe my reading/level of understanding has not been up to your standards II. Get somewhere between 25 to 50 BG slokas by heart

 I have read more than 25 slokas but not sure whether I remember them by heart currently (as I write this letter to you)
 I would like to consider this as a failure from my end because repeated reading of the slokas should have made me remember them
On the other hand, something unexpected happened to me. I have started chanting more rounds, as compared to August 2020.
My spiritual journey has been very volatile in the last 12 months and I understand this will be the norm for a fallen soul like me. I request you to please guide me during all points – happiest, difficult & normal times of my life. I will put all my best efforts to ensure that I do not forget Krishna and great gurus like you. Having said that I know very well it would be possible only with your causeless mercy. Kindly continue to guide me as I do not have any other source to help me from this miserable conditioned life. I will follow up with a letter soon and that will have my spiritual goals for the year ahead.

In last year’s letter, I told you that I am doing 4-5 chanting rounds and I asked you to help me to advance in Krishna Consciousness. Thank you Srila Prabhupada! Now I am doing 10 rounds every day. Please shower your blessings forever to enhance me on the path of Krishna consciousness. While chanting, when I remember your last times in Vrindavan, when you left this material world, and how you were devoted to chanting holy names, it makes me emotional and this thing makes me focus on chanting. We all are thankful and fortunate that we have BhagwadGeeta books, Otherwise how our generations could understand the Bhagwad shlokas and so precious knowledge given by Lord Krishna. This world will always remain grateful to you.

Hope you were Physically present with us at this moment to see how your message of krishna consciousness is spreading all over the world like fire in jungle.
I am one small tiny particle of your huge movement who is trying to serve you with small endeavours.

In this era of Internet and social media its little easy to influence people or atleast send them some agyat sukriti but it’s hard to even imagine that how did you influence highly materialistic people and made so many devotees at that time all over the world and that too at the speed of 5G internet.

The transformation that you bought in thousands of people in 10 years and number of temple that you constructed is mind blowing.

Its nothing but a miracle. I heard some where ‘miracle happen with those who beleive in it’ and this reminds me of you making my faith in God and his miracles even more stronger.

I read somewhere that benediction of serving Guru is higher than Benediction of bhakti. Which made me realise that how fortunate I am to be member of your huge family where I have got opportunity to be around and serve many bonafide spritual gurus.

You made me meet myself, my own culture which I was unaware of. You made vedic culture and sanaatan dharam so easy to practice for people like me who were feeling proud in adopting western culture and completely neglecting our rich Indian heritage of Vedic culture.

You opened my eyes and made me see my own beauty, being born in India in Hindu family and getting connected to iskcon was icing on cake.

Thankyou for giving me this confidence of being fortunate and being proud of my country my people and who I am.

I am Nagaveni Badiger from Belgaum. It gives me great joy to say a few words on Sri La Prabhupadji. Sri La Prabhupadji was born on September 1, 1896 in Calcutta. He was the founder Acharya of the ISKCON. During his lifetime, he accomplished the gigantic task of building 108 ISKCON temples worldwide among which the 13- storied temple in New York stands out to be the largest and beautiful one in the world. Sri La Prabhupadji, through his literary work of translating Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Shrimad Bhagavatam and other Vedic literatures into English from the ancient original texts, spread the teachings and messages of Lord Krishna. And today, millions of people the world over have become pure and ardent devotees of the ISKCON, and following the Vaishnava way of life by chanting the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. Sri La Prabhupadji shed his mortal coils in Nineteen Seventy- Six. Let us all chant this Maha Mantra and be happy.

I feel very fortunate as I got an opportunity to write this offerings to you as you already know I am an illiterate unqualified fallen soul in this material world. Sometimes it seems without your mercy and direction it is almost impossible to live in this world as a civilized person. When the entire world is suffering due to material misery and the three modes of material nature is dominating us like a warden. You appeared as a “bhakta senapati” who spread the holy name across the world and preaches the Hari Naam. In my life i am able to make lot of changes like doing seva in temple, following four regulative principals , engauge myself in book distribution , prashadam distribution, cleaning temple and other service as well due to your mercy and direction. I want to improve more in this path of spirituality so, please showers your blessings and mercy upon me so that i will not fall down from the devotional service. I personally feel you are a real grandfather all of us who exactly knows who want what and arrange that at right time. This is amazing when i was in school days my parents shouted on me but my grandmother always use to give me a chocolates. Similarly in my life your preaching and lectures are always chocolates within a messi crowd.

As I sit down to pen my offering to you, it takes me back to 1970s, “seeing” a little school girl who was fascinated by these, large group of ‘Fair Complexioned’ people (appeared as foreigners), wearing Saffron colored garments & Garland around their neck, singing, & chanting ‘Hare Krishna, going around the street (where she lived in the Indian capital, New Delhi). Yes, this girl is none other than myself, and I called them musicians. My dad corrected me to say these were not musicians but devotees of an organization called International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) who were preaching about Lord Krishna, HIS glories and pass times. That made sense to me then.

A lot of time has passed since then and now. I got “reintroduced” to ISKCON three years back once we returned to India and settled in Bengaluru. Being in one of the wonderful residential complexes in Kadugodi area, I was fortunate to be amongst sincere devotees who continue to propagate your message. Emphasizing on “Culture that is Srila Prabhupada”, I am reminded of shloka 3.21 from Bhagwad Gita:

yad yad ācarati śreṣṭhas
tat tad evetaro janaḥ
sa yat pramāṇaṁ kurute
lokas tad anuvartate

Which translates to: Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues.

Respected Srila Prabhupada, you set a standard for us to emulate. Through the basic tenet that of bhakti towards the Supreme Godhead, you preached selflessly to the Westerners and in a short time frame, established this cultural and spiritual mindset, Krishna Conscious movement, throughout the world.

Though you are not physically present amongst us now, you will live forever in our hearts and will continue to guide us as we progress on this noble spiritual path through your instructions, books, videos and audio recordings and above all the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra! I have not met you but was fortunate to have gained knowledge about you, your vision, through reading your various books and interacting with the senior devotees from ISKCON
Whitefield. Honored and blessed to be a miniscule part of your movement, I look forward to learning more and more about you, the founder Acharya of now famous ISKCON, the Hare Krishna

I hope I use the right words in expressing gratitude towards you, I am immensely motivated, touched, changed and taken by storm by your kind, deep rooted and knowledgeable words. To start with, I have to write that you are an excellent teacher, the words in your books are so easy and to the point. Like a teacher, you give analogies for so many things which makes it so easy for students like us to not only understand and grasp the knowledge but remember too. Everyday when I read the quick short statements of yours or hear a small recorded video, I feel it’s like a phone call I get from you everyday. Your messages,explanations and purports are clear, easy and straight(no strings attached… they are told like crystal clear facts). Reading your books has changed my whole world which gives deep rooted, in depth knowledge and understanding about the principles, our prescribed duties, devotional service and many many many more.

I hope I improve and learn more and more everyday from you. I want to end by saying that I have known Krishna only from you, I have understood Krishna only from you, how to follow prescribed duties, devotional service and practice chanting and kirtan everyday, I have learned from you.

I pray and hope millions of devotees follow your shown path and break the cycle of birth and death this very lifetime. Everyday , the motivation to read your books and hear your lectures is increasing. I hope I don’t deviate from the path which you have shown me and can keep practicing Bhakti.

I offer my humble and respectable obeisances unto His Divine Grace Prabhupada A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami srila prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord Krsna on this earth, having taken shelter of the lotus feet of Sri Krishna. you are alone at the age of seventieth year, threw away your family and left India and set sail around the earth to foreign, unknown shores because your spiritual master spoke to you to spread krishna consciousness to the entire world. you carried the glorious message of the munificent Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhuto the entire world and you brought an ageless message of love for Godhead.

you landed in Manhattan with saffron robes, a suitcase and seven dollars and wandered at maya’s skyscrapers and empty, noisy dreams and you accepted residence with hippies and drug addicted people for spreading the message of lord chaitanya. you lost all your belongings at the initial stage of preaching but you didn’t left the moment to spread krishna consciousness. you journeyed downtown, out of compassion, and set up quarters in the Lower EastSide narrow mice-ridden storefront and trusted Krsna to bring next month’s rent.you don’t have place to stay and sleep but you tried to purchase the temple for krishna. whenever you see a good building you want to turn it into a Krishna’s temple.

you opened the storefront doors even to Bowery derelicts and clashed cymbals and chanted Sanskrit hymns to God, whose vibrations caught the ears of young psychedelic middle class renegades searching for alternatives to their legacy of lies and materialism. you had and everlastingly has infinite mercy, delivering it free of charge, a matchless gift, to whomever stops to hear, you never, to my knowledge, turned one soul away, you effused them all with kindness, affection, truth and love. you treated us as your children. who had mercy on my soul one bright July morning amidst the roaring Manhattan traffic of Houston and Bowery (Most holy spot! Transformed to Vaikuntha by his feet! Bowery transformed to Vaikuntha!).

you lectured every morning on Second Avenue and as the gold of dawn lit his face played cymbals and chanted softly, careful not to awake the neighbors lest they pour hot water through the floorboards. you opened Bhagavad-gita and explained Sri Krsna’s message verse by verse and set His names — Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, HareRama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare — on the lips of the every person in the world. I came to know how much effort you kept after reading prabhupada lilamrutha.You did lot of service for cooking, initiation, marriage ceremony and all those can be possible only by you and you are the Gods senapathi bhakta.
