Dear Srila Prabhupada
Please accept my respectful obeisance
All glories to you.

Srila Prabhupada, your greatness can be understood by the result that you have produced. I was listening to a Janmashtami lecture that you gave in 1968, in which you asked your disciples, at that time who had spent 1 or 2 years in ISKCON to speak on their realizations of Krishna. It was a spontaneous talk. It was amazing for me to hear them speak pure unadulterated Krishna consciousness with solid backing of logic and sastra. How can such new devotees speak so amazingly. It was all coming from their heart and what they are really practicing. This proves the greatness of your divine grace. You could inspire people to take up Krishna consciousness and enable them to advance greatly in a short time. The pastimes during your personal presence is the proof. Devotee still can get that effect if they follow your instructions and read your books regularly.

My personal prayer to you and my guru maharaj is the same since years. Every day I beg to get some taste for chanting and studying Srimad Bhagavatam. Due to my bad conditioning and offences towards the Holyname, i keep losing the right mood towards the Holyname. By chanting of your pranam mantra and offering prayers to you i feel sheltered and protected. It is Krishna that everyone is looking for and you have Him, and you are ready to give Krishna to anyone. This thought gives me lots of hope and it infuses life into my practice of chanting of your pranam mantra and offering of prayers unto you.

The spiritual master offers his shelter by offering bonafide instructions and bonafide service. To get these is the sign of great mercy of the Lord. We are fortunate to get your bonafide instructions and by the grace of your loyal followers, we are fortunate to get bonafide service to make Bangalore a Krishna conscious city. To make 100 centres in Bangalore. To create unity among the devotees. While preaching we may develop belongingness beyond limits and develop misunderstandings with other capable preachers, that simply weakens the mission and it is a disservice to your grace. Please bless me with qualities of sacrifice and tolerance to execute this difficult instruction of keeping devotees united and happy.

This year we celebrated Janmashtami in 13 different locations as against 8 in the last year. Each Janmashtami is a potential seed for a centre to be opened. By your grace we have been able to get a land in this area for building a nice temple which will act as an education and training hub for all the devotees. Still lots to be done in your service.

Due to my offensive nature and harsh speech i end up offending devotees. Even though unqualified in many ways somehow I am blessed to be engaged in bonafide service of the Lord. By your grace I am confident that I can become purified and be of some real service to you. Thank you for this great mercy upon me. I am eternally grateful for this special blessings.

Prabhupad this vyasa Puja I had questions and for all of them I could get only one answer. I am presenting these questions & answer as my offering at your lotus feet.

How come so many thousands of people are accepting the teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Prabhupad, its only by your inspiration.

How come so many thousands of people are getting connected to the glorious Gaudiya Vaishnav Sampraday.
Prabhupad, its only by your inspiration.

How come so many thousands of people have given up or aspiring to giveup 4 sinful activities viz. meat eating, gambling, illicit sex & intoxication.

How come so many thousands of people have taken a vow of taking only Krishna Prasad and never eat unoffered food.

Dear Srila Prabhupada
All glories unto your Lotus feet

It has been some time since I joined the moment you started. I cannot express how much your wisdom of bhakti has helped me in my personal life. Your own story of all the great struggles and unflinching faith in your own guru, Maharaj, is so deep. Not to say your compassion for all the jivas. You were the one man at such a ripe age who knew how to execute the mission of your guru Maharaj. How much faith is required to do so? At the age when people retire and enjoy life with kids, grandkids, and their loved ones to take care of them, you were living alone, struggling alone. Bearing all the hardships, saving every penny so that you can print books, and you used to distribute them to people personally. All of this just so that people can understand the message of Krishna. This shows your love for Krishna and how much you actually care about all of us who are kept like prisoners in this material world and you came just to free us. For us, you represent the entire guru parampara. You are one who is connecting us to Krishna and the entire guru parampara.

You have always maintained such great loyalty to the parampara and not deviating even one inch from what Srila Chaitanya Mahaprabhu taught, what the Six Goswamis wrote, the entire philosophy and the practice. You kept the purity of the parampara and presented things as they are.

Your vision, your love, your devotion are just out of the world.

I am trying to follow as you have prescribed. There are so many pitfalls every day, but still, I have faith in your mercy. I am still caught in a lot of complexities of material life and at the same time trying to follow your instructions. Kindly bless me so that I can follow you as you had told us, what you have preached to us.

Salutations to you on your 127th appearance day!!! I offer my koti koti dandavat at your divine lotus feet, it is a time of great rejoicing. You are so merciful that you give me an opportunity to glorify you, year after year. You took life risks by going to the West in your old age with no clear plan or resources to fulfil your spiritual master’s mission. Yet Krishna protected you from the dangers and empowered you to spread His mission. Your life is a demonstration that Krishna never lets down His devotees when they take risks for spreading His mission.

You taught us to dynamically strike the right daily balance between personal sadhana and anxieties for institutional expansion of the preaching mission, to expand Krishna Consciousness Movement, you have said, “Purity is the force.” You have cautioned us that without studying your books and chanting and hearing Harinama offencelessly, your golden command “Chant Hare Krishna and hear exactly that very same sound.” the holy names are Chintamani or touchstone that fulfils all our desires to serve Guru and Krishna. Remembering always it is our false ego alone that is the hindrance to serve you as you would expect us to. I beg you to continue to hold me and bless me, so that I remain in Krishna consciousness always.

You established temples of Radha-Krishna all over the world teaching the bonafide pancharatrika method of worshipping the Lord. You taught self-absorbed, self-centered common man to rise from the platform of the rituals to the topmost, most-fulfilling, God-centered platform of Bhakti. You did so by teaching how to simply offer the heart to the Lord. You wrote more than 80 books translated to more than 70 languages, based on bonafide scriptures making the esoteric philosophy very very simple, for everyone to understand. Your Bhaktivedanta purports are like juice extracted from the sugarcane – all the ‘ras’ of the Vedic literature extracted and simplified in Your purports. You are changing millions of lives through Your books and I was fortunate to be picked up by You.

Due to your unmerited kindness, I converted from being a hard-core atheist from the South to at least praying to Krishna or respect devotion and devotees. I was compelled to stick to my native language from childhood, so I was only given the option of learning or reading in English other than tamil. As a result, I don’t have a natural interest in learning Sanskrit, Hindi, or Bengali, and my IQ has become so low that I am unable to memorize any slokas or don’t have interest in that . But you had shown your mercy right from my initial days that am not good for anything other than distributing your books and you spoke via many of my senior devotees to continue that.

I don’t like to read books from childhood, even in school, I only read for exams, where I receive mediocre or top grades. Many devotees or outside readers have complained that you keep repeating the same thing even though I felt the same for the first 5 years in my KC life. Day by day, my perspectives on this began to shift, and now I believe that the lecture and purports being repeated are actually Krishna or you communicating through the purports on every line, where we may relate to every moment of our lives to develop love for krishna. Particularly, after becoming married, the realization underwent significant modification. Every assertion you make serves as a remedy for my current difficulty.

I have been able to read Srimad Bhagavatam and Srila Prabhupada Uvaca steadily by your mercy and your transcendental qualities and position are progressively evinced.

You are a walking Bhagavata and whatever I read in the book, Srimad Bhagavatam are all manifest by your pastimes. I remember reading how transcendental personalities do not place their feet on the earth and when I heard how your footsteps were not traceable while walking on the beach, I could clearly connect the dots and realise your position.

ei candra sūrya dui parama sadaya
jagatera bhāgye gauḍe karilā udaya

These two, the sun and moon (Lord Sri Krsna Caitanya and Lord Nityananda), are very kind to the people of the world. Thus for the good fortune of all, They have appeared on the horizon of Bengal (CC Adi 1.102). They appeared on the horizon of Gauḍadeśa to spread the science of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, and as predicted that just as the sun and moon gradually move west, you brought the movement They began five hundred years ago to the Western civilizations. You truly are the jagad-guru; you are that senapati-bhakta of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Yet, out of humility, you attribute your contributions to your disciples.

You have made the good fortune by which I am given the opportunity to chant the Holy Names, to have Lord Sri Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Himself dance on my sinful serpent-like tongue. It is all by your causeless mercy that I am able to associate with the teachings of the most exalted acaryas, who are all eternal associates of the Lord (nitya siddhas). I meditate on how eternal associates of the Lord (nitya siddhas) like you descended to this martya loka, dukhalayam, facing so much criticism and suffering just to deliver the foolish suffering fallen souls, who are oblivious of their constitutional position, which is eternal. Yet, I am such a rascal that I often get bewildered and do not fix my consciousness.

kṛpālu, akṛta-droha, satya-sāra sama
nidoṣa, vadānya, mṛdu, śuci, akiñcana
sarvopakāraka, śānta, kṛṣṇaika-śaraṇa
akāma, anīha, sthira, vijita-ṣaḍ-guṇa
mita-bhuk, apramatta, mānada, amānī
gambhīra, karuṇa, maitra, kavi, dakṣa, maunī

“Devotees are always merciful, humble, truthful, equal to all, faultless, magnanimous, mild and clean. They are without material possessions, and they perform welfare work for everyone. They are peaceful, surrendered to Kṛṣṇa and desireless. They are indifferent to material acquisitions and are fixed in devotional service. They completely control the six bad qualities — lust, anger, greed and so forth. They eat only as much as required, and they are not inebriated. They are respectful, grave, compassionate and without false prestige. They are friendly, poetic, expert and silent.” Srila Prabhupada, you embody each and every quality mentioned in CC Madhya 22.78-80.

My life was like a stranded boat without any captain in the middle of the ocean of this world. Always being tossed and troubled by tides of Maya Devi. Thank you for being the captain of my life boat. Without your guidance through your books and instructions in the guru parampara my life was directionless as if stuck in the Bermuda triangle.

Thank you for showing me the direction and the aim of my life through ISKCON. I am still a fallen soul but with hope of being saved by the association of pure devotees in the guru parampara. I can’t express my gratitude in words.
