How can I ever thank you enough for showing me the path of Krishna Consciousness?

A little while ago, I was in a very hopeless state. Life seemed to be a burdensome and pointless exercise. I was feeling very low and directionless. The question “What is the purpose of my life?” was bothering me a lot as I had no answer for the question.

It was then, I got introduced to Krishna Consciousness through the Gita classes. As I took baby steps in my Krishna Consciousness journey, my hopelessness was replaced by hopefulness and I am beginning to understand the purpose of human life.

It is only because of your causeless mercy and compassion to all souls, that the world has Krishna Consciousness. I beg for your mercy – to give me the strength and resolve to continue and progress in the path of Krishna Consciousness.

Srila Prabhupad,I just want to share a realization with you .ISKCON Whitefield had decided to celebrate Krishna janmashtami in one more area this year which is Bellandur.Though we were few volunteers working for it, at every step we were stuck n felt stumbling blocks in almost all the different fields.Everywhere we were loosing hopes & felt pressure of how to proceed further.Again by your mercy & by Krishna’s will the disturbances were getting cleared on its own.But what I realized at that time was though quite a few volunteers were working we could not spread the message in one area but you went alone to US struggled n initiated this organization of ISKCON at the age of 70.You are way beyond our imagination.Of course I know there is no comparison between you &us but still felt like mentioning this pass time of yours as a glorification.Thanks for all that you a have given us & have been giving us till now.Sticking to your lotus feet to not to deprive of your any little mercy also poured from you upon me . Kindly put your glance on this orphan.Hare Krishna.

First of all I don’t have any qualification to offer homage unto your exalted divine self, but I am doing this for my own purification. First, I beg unto you for your causeless mercy to give me strength, otherwise I have no hope for anything in spiritual life what to speak of attempting to glorify you.

* You are so unexplainable great personality even if I madly try to use all letters in all languages in all combinations that cannot match even a drop of your ocean of auspicious qualities

* Your smile can shy away millions of sun put together which drive away the darkness of ignorance of all conditioned souls, hoping for a day to get a glimpse

* Somebody wants to know the definition of Acharya, then I would like to say “Srila Prabhupada”, there is nothing I can say more

* You have given your everything as a service unto your Spiritual master beyond ones wildest imagination possible but you keep saying the only qualification you had is the desire to hear your spiritual master and serve him, please bestow upon this arrogant fool your causeless mercy so that I can one day try to develop even a drop of drop of drop of that Humility

* Prabhupada, at your lotus feet your dear most disciple HH Jayapataka swami maharaj serving beyond your satisfaction, I don’t even have courage to ask you because of my repeated mistakes but yet since you are exalted and highly compassionate, I beg unto your dust of lotus feet to somehow make me an instrument in serving my Guru Maharaj who is serving you tirelessly by keeping his instructions as my life and soul

* Please forgive me for all the offenses I am committing and I repeatedly beg unto you for your causeless mercy unto this undeserving fool to somehow develop immunity against committing future offenses

* Once I heard from my Guru maharaj lectures, all ISKCON devotees are able to perform any sort of devotional service is only because of your Kripa Sidhi, how foolish and degraded I am beyond any comprehension but yet you were so merciful upon me. Please Prabhupada, I beg unto you again and again please, please, please somehow make me attracted to your literary contribution to have any hope in my bhakti, what else hope I have?

* I am trying to follow your instruction of doubling the service every year and by your causeless mercy somehow I am finding fair amount of success whenever I try to execute for your pleasure, so please continue care for this fool even though undeserving

* Dearest grandpa, Please always keep me under your shelter and save me from any influence of maya so that I can try serving your movement for your pleasure

Last but not least, I beg unto you,

– Please, Chastise me whenever I am not obedient to sastric instructions or acharyas words

– Please, Drag me back whenever I am deviating from path of pure devotion

While he was in abroad the people and and environment was not much comfortable to preach krishna consciousness but still with patience and determination he executed all plane and convinced the people that krishna consciousness is the purpose of human life for getting perfection.

As I indebded to prabhupada for his spiritual knowledge given to us I like to follow his instruction and preach to more people as per my capacity to follow krishna consciousness.

I am no one to write anything about you, Maharaj, because it’s like showing torch to the Sun. However, at present, you’re the source of my spiritual journey.

The way parents give birth to a child in this material world, nurture him, make him learn to crawl, walk and run, similarly, being my spiritual father, you are the sole reason of my birth in this spiritual world of Krishna Consciousness. By your causeless mercy, you have given birth to me in the movement, due to which I am at crawling stage (because I am in the safe hands of devotees).

You are the sole reason, because of which I joined this movement.

You are the sole reason, because of which I have been getting consistent opportunities to hear Krishna Katha.

Though this servant is not qualified to write about the greatness of Srila Prabupada, at the feet of prabupada requesting for forgiveness and writing this.

This servant could have not read Bhagavat Gita or relish Srimad Bhagavatam, if Srila Prabupada could have not given to this world.

Just by reading Srila prabaupads books and associating with his disciples purity gets injected in the minds and intelligence.

Today we have greatest issues like factory farming hazards and innocent animals killed, in a simple and an intelligent way Srila prabupada’s movement has contributed to it immensely.

Srila Prabupada was highly compassionate towards everyone.

This servant came across from some people, they simply stopped eating meat after reading the impact of meat eating through the pictures of Bhagavat Gita – Though they are not part of ISKCON – they are also influenced by his teachings – just by minute reading.

Just by seeing Srila Prabupadas picture, many smile with background music in their minds Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama hare Hare.

There are many many souls who could have been directionless and wasted their life without spending in a Divine way, if there was no Srila Prabupada Movement.

When the world Love Lord Jagannath and can know about Krishna. Its because of Srila Prabupada.

Srila Prabupada gave Krishna’s love to the world with out discrimination.

Srila prabupada created a nicest environment for all of us in this Kali Yuga.

Srila Prabupada once when someone was chasing away a Dog, he said dont be harsh to it just give little prasad and pray for it.

Srila prabupad made women know about Chastity and live by it – Where on the other side there are lot of toughest path for women, he stopped them getting into such troubles by teaching the importance of Chastity. In today’s world if Chasity is followed among many women, Srila Prabupada’s contribution to it is immense.

Depression, Anger and Hopelessness are replaced with highest level of content feeling, strength and hopefulness.

Mistakes are done mainly because of lack of knowledge. Srila Prabupada gave that divine knowledge and stopped many of us doing great sins.

There are more and more reasons why this servant is grateful to Srila Prabupada. requesting for forgiveness for any offence committed while writing this offering.

It has been about an year now I have started being part of the Sankirtan & Bhagavad Gita classes – Now I understand the selfless love for Krishna which Srila Prabhupada had. Q.2: Did this help me Anyway ? (Atleast a pinch)
A.2: NOT PINCH , ITS INFINITE , NON MEASURABLE HELP ISKCON DID….

FIRSTLY , AFTER STARTED GOING TO ISKCON, IM BLESSED WITH A CUTE LITTLE KRISHNA. I WAS SURPRISED AT THIS FIRST STAGE ONLY. ALSO BY LETTING ME KNOW PERFECT MEANING OF LIFE TEACHING ABOUT LORD KRISHNA.

Q.3: Any Happy Moments ?
A.3: LOADS N LOADS WITH ISKCON BHAKTHI CENTRE ,LOADS OF HAPPINESS WITH DEVOTEES, LOADS OF HAPPINESS ATTENDING ALL CELEBRATIONS IN CENTRE.

Q.4: Any Sorrow Moments in Iskcon ?
A.4: YES PRABHUPAD JI…I DONT WANT TO LIE BEFORE YOU. FEW DEVOTEES BEHAVIOUR HURTED ME AT TIMES. 99.99% I THINK IT WASNT MY MISTAKE… BUT LOOKS LIKE THEY DON’T LIKE ME SO BEHAVED AS SUCH.

Q.5: Met Anyone who is Iskcon Devotee ?
A.5: MY COUSIN HIMSELF IS A BRAHMACHARI IN ISKCON, KATRAJ ,PUNE .
MY GYNAECOLOGIST IS A ISKCON DEVOTEE.

Q.6: Any Struggle I Faced ?
A.6: HERE ALSO ,I DON’T WANT TO LIE BEFORE YOU. YES LOTS OF STRUGGLE , COULDNT ABLE TO COME TO CENTRE, FEELING SAD BY NOT HAVING LORD KRISHNA’S DARSHAN.
( WHY AM I CRYING NOW WRITING THIS)

Q.7: What I feel is my Mistake I did with Lord Krishna ?
A.7: YES PRABHUPAD JI….I 101% FEEL IM DOING THE SAME MISTAKE BY NOT CHANTING PROPERLY. AS U KNOW EVERYTHING, THAT IS ALSO DUE TO HANDLING FAMILY, TAKING CARE OF 2 KIDS, HOUSE CHORES.

Q.8: What do I want now ?

What I’ve received from you is the most precious of all that I have got life after life. “Hare Krishna maha mantra “, yes Prabhupada, I had no knowledge about the Kali dharma & was simply engaged in various religious activities without knowing the proper concept & the actual destination to be achieved.

Its only because of your efforts, Harinaam sankirtan has become so popular that knowingly or unknowingly so many souls all around the world are getting benefitted.

You have also created wonderful devotee association all around which acts like a barricade to protect us from maya. Without devotee association maya creeps in some or the other way & tries to pull me away from Krishna on the pretext of being “practical”.

You slept only for two hours a day & spent most of your time in writing books for us. But I am so lazy that i find it difficult to read them regularly.

Prabhupada, I sincerely admit that I’m not capable of serving you in anyway, its only by your mercy that I can use this human life to please you & move closer to Krishna, atleast by a few steps.

Plz bless me Prabhupada, that I can read & understand your books & help others too in utilising this knowledge for the ultimate benefit.

Srila Prabhupada, presently I’m reading CC Madhya Lila Ch.2 – The Ecstatic Manifestations of Lord Caitanya. In this chapter, Srila Krsnadas Kaviraj Gosvami has given a synopsis of maha-bhava ecstatic symptoms of Lord Caitanya mahaprabhu.

While reading this chapter I realized that it’s only by your mercy that we are getting to read such advanced stages of devotional service. If you wounldn’t have come then all these great teachings of previous acaryas would have lost. I cannot estimate my immense fortune to get an opportunity to read such treasure books.

I heard from my spiritual master the you did not want to come to this planet but because Lord Krishna wanted you to write these books you appeared here. If you wouldn’t have come Srila Prabhupada then it was not possible for fallen souls like me to get a glimpse of our real identity as eternal servants of Lord Krsna and how to actually establish ourselves back in that position – we would have continued for another million and billion of years in rotten life of sense gratification. Now, after your appearance, at least there is some hope that one day I’ll be established in my eternal constitutional position.

Srila Prabhupada, my spiritual master is His Grace Sriman Sankarshan Das Adhikari Maharaja. I’ve never met you or seen you. But after serving my spiritual master, I do get a glimpse of you. He is perfectly following your instructions and inspiring all his students and disciples to do the same. There is not even a tinge of deviation in his practice. I want to share with you that today there are few irregularities coming in ISKCON. Many are watering down the process given by you such as illicit sex with one’s wife is ok. But my Guru Maharaja is standing very strong against such deviations and ensuring the process of Krishna Consciousness given by you is not watered down and ISKCON does not becomes another Christianity. He is your perfect follower Srila Prabhupada and If I can also become servant of my spiritual master like he is yours then my life will be perfect.

I do not know why I’ve received mercy to come in your association, association of my spiritual master, my guru mata and other vaisnavas. Inspite of such a great fortune I’m so foolishly attached to the life of sense gratification. Who can be more fool than me? So please Srila Prabhupada, give me your mercy that I can come to my senses and undeviatingly engage in the service of my spiritual master, your service and service of Lord Krishna

If asked personally , “ who would you like to spend a day with “ my answer would be you Srila Prabhupada!!! We have grown up listening to your classic Hare Krishna kirtan , waiting in a long queue after school to have typically transcendental ISKCON Prasadam….

As children we were amazed to hear our mother narrate to us how she joined your Prabhat pheri ( early morning sankirtan)on roads with devotees in the chilling cold of Delhi …. how we wish that we could also be present ….

Dear Prabhupadaji,

I have started taking very small baby steps in my spiritual journey. I have a long way to go and am not even qualified to offer my thanks to you, as I’m still a rascal. I have not read enough of your writings to be qualified to thank you, but the little that I have read have impacted me positively.

I would look forward to links sent by my shiksha guru that were related to topics covered during my level 1 & 2 Gita Course. Whenever possible, I would click on the Next link to move to other chapters that you covered via prabhupadavani.org or ISKCON Desiretree website. And what stayed with me was your dedication to spread the word of Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, to all the fallen souls of this Kaliyuga. And this shamed me and made me realise the first lesson you taught us through your teachings, and that is “We are not this material body”. So, giving material pleasure to this material body is a waste of time. Rather, we must give it spiritual pleasure through service to Krishna. I am still struggling to learn this first lesson you taught, which is why I said I am still a rascal.
Prabhupada, another point I wanted to tell you, is my realisation of the selfless service rendered by your shishyas shishyas and their shishyas in service of the Lord and their love and devotion to you. I must also tell you about the dichotomy I have experienced while living and dealing with this material world and trying to understand my spiritual needs at the same time. I must definitely thank you a million times for dedicating your life to deliver all of us fallen souls back to Godhead. With this, I promise to devote more time to read more, so that by next Vyasapuja, I will feel empowered to offer sincere words of gratitude to you from the bottom of my heart for realisations that I got from your teachings, rather than mere generalisations and lip service.
